Bluff view from North Plateau Loop

Huntsville, AL

The North Plateau Loop starts from the hikers parking lot and is approximately 1.2 miles in length.   This hiking trail offers views of several small waterfalls (these may not be running in dry periods), the Monte Sano Amphitheater, several views of the Tennessee Valley, and some unusual tree growths.  Also along the North Plateau hiking trail hikers get a chance to see a view of the new lodge which replaced the tavern that burned down in 1947.
