A beautiful cascade located on Rose River |
Skyline Drive, VA |
Rose River Loop Trail is a beautiful walk on a warm day. The tree's canopy offers constant shade on a warm day. The trail is of moderate difficulty, with a slight decline down to Rose River. Once the trail meets Rose River, the path continues parallel to the river. A short walk along the trail leads to Rose River waterfall which is a 67 feet high. Rose River actually has two cascades, the first one being slightly difficult to reach the bottom while the second cascade can be extremely dangerous and is not recommended. The above picture is of the second cascade. These two cascades are probably within a stone's throw of one another. After leaving the cascades, the trail will continue on downhill. | |
