Beaverdam Swamp Boardwalk offers a unique look into the ecosystem of Beaverdam Creek Swamp from the safety of a wooden boardwalk which provides several benches along the way for taking a rest and enjoying nature.   A visitor may be treated to several species of bird and on occasion a squirrel or some other inhabitant of the area.

Location: Huntsville, AL
Directions: Coming on  I-565 East, Take Exit 5 (Hwy 20 East) to the first light.  This intersection will be County Line Rd/Hwy 20.  Take a right on County Line Rd and cross the bridge that goes over I-565 then take the first immediate right which will be Old Hwy 20/Frontage Rd.  This road will dead end in approx. 2 miles at Beaverdam Swamp Boardwalk parking area.

Topography: Swampland, River, hardwood forests
Hiking Information: The trail is mostly raised on a boardwalk and can be slick after a rainstorm.  Punkies can be an issue during certain parts of the year.
