The Wildflower Trail found at the base of Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville, AL provides a great getaway to view some wildflowers during the spring. The Wildflower Trail follows Fagen Spring which almost always has water in it even in the summer. Sometimes locals take their children or dogs their to play in the stream. The trail offers plenty of shade on a hot day due to the heavy canopy overhead. | |

Directions: | From Governor's Drive, drive north on California, turn right on Hermitage Drive, then turn left on Cleermont Dr SE. Parking lot is on left at the end of Cleermont (it is a small gravel area). |

Hiking Information: | Make sure to bring bug spray and good hiking boots after any amount of rain can be muddy. Wildflowers can be found during early spring. |
